How To Get Filename List of a Folder

These steps are for Windows 10 and will put the list into Notepad.

  1. Open File Explorer.
  2. Go to the folder for which you want a list of file names.
  3. Select all the files.
  4. Press and hold the Shift key, then right-click.
  5. On the popup menu click Copy as path.
  6. Release the Shift key,
  7. Open Notepad.
  8. Click Edit → Paste.
  9. The result:

    "C:\wamp64\www\uniserve\imgtap\ibmpc.jpg"
    "C:\wamp64\www\uniserve\imgtap\ibmpc01.png"
    "C:\wamp64\www\uniserve\imgtap\ibmpc02.png"
    "C:\wamp64\www\uniserve\imgtap\images.jfif"
    "C:\wamp64\www\uniserve\imgtap\keypunchmachine.png"
    "C:\wamp64\www\uniserve\imgtap\tasss05small.png"
  10. Done.
